Peter Knapper, President
Peter Knapper is a senior operating executive with more than 20 years of in-depth experience in operational leadership, including serving as vice president of operations for both TECT Aerospace and TECT Power. Prior to joining TECT, Pete spent 10 years at General Electric Aircraft Engines working in composite materials research and in multiple roles in operations. He held director positions at both Rolls-Royce and Honeywell, and worked as a plant manager in the Honda Supplier Network. Pete earned his mechanical engineering degree at the University of Cincinnati and his Master of Business Administration at Ohio University.
Steve Wurst, Vice President of Engineering Solutions
Steve Wurst brings years of military and civilian aerospace experience to his role as vice president of engineering solutions. Prior to joining TECT Aerospace, Steve worked as an executive consultant on the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter program at Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Company. Steve has also worked for Rockwell International; ITT Industries, Space Division; Space Access, LLC; and The Hydrogen Generation, LLC. Before entering the private sector, Steve served on active duty as a command/instructor fighter pilot in the Air Force and retired as a lieutenant colonel. Steve earned a Bachelor of Science in aeronautical engineering from the U.S. Air Force Academy and a Master of Science in aeronautics from the California Institute of Technology.
Gilles Meurice, CFO
Gilles Meurice joined TECT Aerospace as its Chief Financial Officer
in April 2009. Gilles is a seasoned financial and business executive
with more than 25 years of experience. Prior to joining TECT Aerospace,
Meurice served in a variety of executive positions, including director
of financial planning and analysis at Allied Signal, director of
business process improvement for Nissan North America, vice president
of new business ventures with Brunswick Corporation and principal at
FGM Consulting LLC. He also spent 14 years as vice president and CFO
at a variety of food, biomedical and chemical companies. Meurice earned
a master's degree in engineering from École Nationale des Ponts
et Chausses, a master's degree in economics from the University of
Paris and a Master of Business Administration from the Amos Tuck School
of Business Administration at Dartmouth College.
